Admissions and Contracting Regulations
of the Social Kindergarten and School Complex No. 101 in Olsztyn
The basis for enrolling a child in the Social Kindergarten and School Complex No. 101 in Olsztyn is:
- A meeting of parents with the Headmaster to determine and accept the rules of cooperation,
- An individual meeting of the child with the class tutor and a team of teachers,
- Submission of documents specified in the Admissions and Contracting Regulations,
- Fulfilment of recruitment criteria.
Admission criteria for kindergarten
- The decision on admitting a candidate to kindergarten is made by the Headmaster after obtaining the opinion of the preschool teacher conducting the meeting with the child and the preschool education teacher, as well as the body responsible for concluding educational service contracts.
- In the case of a large number of candidates, the order of applications is also taken into account.
Admission criteria for primary school
- The decision on admitting a candidate to Grade 1 is made by the Headmaster after obtaining the opinion of the teacher conducting the meeting with the child and the preschool teacher, based on information about the child’s school readiness and observations made by the authority responsible for concluding educational service contracts.
- In the case of admission to a higher grade during the course of education, the Headmaster makes the decision after obtaining the opinion of teachers conducting a qualification interview and the school pedagogue, based on submitted documents and depending on available places.
- In the case of an additional student (above the number set in the school statute), admission must be agreed by the Pedagogical Council and all parents of the class concerned.
- If the number of candidates exceeds available places, a waiting list is created, with priority admission in case of vacancies.
- A student with a reprehensible or inappropriate behaviour grade is excluded from admission.
- The order of applications is also taken into account during recruitment.
Recruitment documents
- Kindergarten
- Personal information form of the kindergarten candidate (Annex 1P);
- Information card about the child completed by parents (Annex 2P);
- Information card about the child from the kindergarten (Annex 3P);
- The latest opinion/assessment on the need for special education issued by a psychological and pedagogical counselling centre, or a disability certificate (if the child has one);
- Declarations required in kindergarten (Annex 4P).
- Primary School
- Personal information form of the Primary School candidate (Annex 1SP);
- Information card about the child completed by parents (Grades I–III) (Annex 2SP);
- Information card about the child completed by the preschool teacher (Annex 3SP);
- Information about the child’s readiness to start learning in primary school (applies to Grade 1 candidates);
- Documents confirming participation in competitions, school organisations, and extracurricular activities;
- Latest school report card (in case of recruitment during the course of education);
- Certificate of the most recent average grades (in case of recruitment during the course of education);
- Latest opinion/assessment on the need for special education issued by a psychological and pedagogical counselling centre, or a disability certificate (if the child has one);
- Photo for the student ID card sent to the school email address (ssp101@ssp101.olsztyn.pl) together with the student’s full name, PESEL number, and date of birth;
- Declarations required in school (Grades I–III primary school) (Annex 4SP);
- Declarations required in school (Grades IV–VIII primary school) (Annex 5SP);
- Application for admission of a six-year-old child to Grade 1 (Annex 6SP);
- Opinion on the possibility of starting primary education issued by a psychological and pedagogical counselling centre (applies to six-year-old children who did not attend preschool preparation).
- Kindergarten
Deadlines
The following recruitment and document submission deadlines are established:
- Kindergarten
- By 30 April – submission of documents listed in section 3.1 a), b), c), d);
- April/May (exact date set each year by the Headmaster) – integration and information meeting with kindergarten candidates and their parents;
- Announcement of the list of accepted children no later than 10 May each year;
- After recruitment results are announced – by 31 August – submission of documents listed in section 3.1 e) (applies to children admitted to kindergarten).
- Primary School
- By 30 April – submission of documents listed in section 3.2 a), b), c), d), e), f), g), h); in the case of six-year-old children also i), m).
- April/May – (exact date set each school year by the Headmaster) – an integration and information meeting with candidates for Grade 1;
- The announcement of the list of children admitted to Grade 1 takes place no later than 10 May each school year;
- After the recruitment results are announced – by 31 August – submission of documents specified in section 3.2 i), j) (applies to children admitted to Grade 1);
- After the recruitment results are announced – by 31 August – submission of documents specified in section 3.2 i), k) (applies to children admitted from Grade 2 to Grade 8).
- Continuation of education (annual contract renewal)
- Parents of students continuing their education at the Social Kindergarten and School Complex No. 101 in Olsztyn are required to submit signed education contracts by 15 May. The contract for continuation of education is considered concluded on the date it is signed by the governing body.
- Failure to submit a signed contract within the deadline specified in point 1 above will be considered a lack of intention to continue education. In such a case, the Headmaster may conduct recruitment for available places in the given class.
- In special cases, after obtaining the opinion of the Headmaster and the Pedagogical Council, the governing body may refuse to conclude a contract for continuation of education with the student’s parents at the Social Kindergarten and School Complex No. 101 in Olsztyn.
- Such refusal does not require justification. No appeal may be made against the refusal.
