Visitors from Madagascar

At the end of the school year, we had the great pleasure of hosting Ms. Kasia Białous from the Dzieci Madagaskaru (Children of Madagascar) – Ankizy Gasy Foundation at Stojedynka. For many years, the foundation has been providing aid to the youngest inhabitants of Madagascar, ensuring them access to education, warm meals, and medical care.

During meetings with our students, Ms. Kasia talked about the foundation’s work, shared insights into the daily life, culture, and customs of the people of Madagascar, and demonstrated how much of a difference even a small amount of support can make. The students listened with great interest to stories about a country so geographically distant, yet so close through our shared concern for the well-being of children.

Our school is proud to participate in the Distance Adoption program, currently supporting 14 children from Madagascar. Thanks to the commitment of our entire school community – students, parents, teachers, and staff – our sponsored children have the chance for regular schooling, better living conditions, and a safer future.

We believe that education is the most valuable gift one can offer to another person, and that even small gestures can change the world.

Ms. Kasia’s visit was also accompanied by a fair featuring unique, colorful handicrafts made by the people of Madagascar.

It attracted a lot of interest and provided a wonderful opportunity to support the foundation’s efforts while discovering the richness of Malagasy culture.

We would like to thank Ms. Kasia for the inspiring meetings, filled with emotion, fascinating stories, and valuable reflections. We are delighted that we could host a representative of the Children of Madagascar Foundation at our school once again, and we already warmly invite her to visit us again in the future.

Together, we show that kindness knows no borders and that education truly has the power to change the world.
